I had previously subscribed to Ipsy last year because I was really intrigued by the whole subscription box craze. I decided to go with Ipsy after doing quite a bit of comparing to other boxes, but after receiving a few bags I just wasn’t impressed with the products in them so I decided to unsubscribe. Recently I have been seeing Ipsy provide better products in their bags so I thought why not give them another shot? I finally received it in the mail last week so I am going to show you the products that I received in April’s Ipsy Bag.
First you get a card with a contest that’s currently running on one side, and on the other it tells you to visit the Ipsy site for offers. You typically get a certain percent off your order which I think it nice. When I took all of the products out of the bag I was really quite impressed. This bag is way better than the others I have previously received and I am really glad that I resubscribed. I just hope that they continue with bags this amazing.
- Kiss Looks So Natural Lashes in Sultry
- Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm in Acid Pink
- Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Black Velvet
- City Color Mousse Eyeshadow in White Gold
- Benefit Lolltint
The Kiaa lashes are really pretty and taper out at the ends. They also have a nearly invisible band so they will really blend in with your natural lashes and would be great for every day wear. The tinted lip balm is a crazy vibrant pink and I find it to be more of a lipstick than a balm. It’s on the drying side, but the pigment is out of this world. Definitely not a colour I would wear during the day but I would wear it on a night out. I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay 24/7 pencils and I was so excited when I saw they included their new Black Velvet pencil in April’s bag. It’s creamy, very pigmented and lasts a good amount of time on the waterline. This is my new favourite black pencil liner. When I first looked at the City Color eyeshadow I thought it was a pigment. To my surprise when I swatched it it turned out to be a mousse. I’ve never tried a mousse eyeshadow before so I am not sure how I will get along with it since I have oily lids. It may act really nicely as a base to a powder eye shadow. It’s a white with gold shimmer to it and is just stunning! Last but certainly not least is the Benefit Lollitint. They came out with this product not too long ago and I saw so many blog reviews on it. It’s a liquid lip and cheek stain and is the prettiest shade of pink. I love how quick and easy it is to use as it has a little brush and it stays put on the cheeks for hours. Be sure to work with it quickly as it sets extremely fast. Ipsy, you have redeemed yourself and I am very much looking forward to May’s bag!
